Privacy Overview
Your privacy with Castle Go
This page gives a high-level summary of how Castle Go handles your information. For the full legal policy, including GDPR/CCPA wording and Garmin-specific disclosures, please read the detailed privacy policy.
What we collect
- Account basics such as your name, email address, and profile preferences.
- Activity data (routes, GPS points, heart rate, etc.) when you choose to sync devices such as Garmin.
- App usage diagnostics that help us troubleshoot issues and improve performance.
How we use your data
- Provide core features like route planning, navigation, and personal activity insights.
- Recommend new routes and surfaces based on your preferences.
- Keep the platform secure, monitor reliability, and communicate support updates.
How Garmin data fits in
When you connect Castle Go to Garmin Connect, we use OAuth to pull only the activity types you approve. The data stays tied to your Castle Go account so we can build features like history-based route suggestions and device exports. You can disconnect Garmin at any time from either Castle Go or your Garmin Connect settings.
We do not sell your data
Castle Go never sells personal or activity data to third parties. Limited sharing only occurs with vetted service providers (analytics, hosting) operating under data-processing agreements, or when required by law. Aggregated, anonymised insights may be used to improve features without identifying individuals.
Your choices
- Disconnect integrations such as Garmin, Apple Health, or Strava whenever you like.
- Request export or deletion of your data by emailing our privacy team.
- Adjust in-app privacy controls to determine who can view your shared routes.
